Helllooo!! I just came back from Manila and seem to have a lot of energy right now. Let’s chat. The other day I had a lot of bananas in the fridge that were definitely getting very very overripen by the hour. I texted Farah if she wanted to bake banana bread together. However, even with the banana bread, I’d have a couple of bananas left and I needed to get rid of the bananas soon. So when I finally gave up on revision (it happens often now 😆), I went down to the kitchen and checked the ingredients that I had in the pantry.
.
Thank goodness I had enough to make banana and peanut butter overnight oats for breakfast/lunch the next day. Since I was bored and there was no way I’m getting myself into revising anytime soon, I went on and did a cooking show! Hahaha. #wildchild

The pictures I put up here would be from the Instagram story I made that night. I got a couple of messages asking me for the exact measurement of the ingredients. I’ll be sure to put the most exact amount I can think of here. But be warned, when I did the oats I didn’t do the measurements as written here (yes, it was a very wild night for me). These measurements are estimations, so cater them to your own likings!

Okay just to be clear, it’s going to look like baby food when you’re halfway eating it. But it tastes good. It’s banana, peanut butter, maple syrup, and chocolate chips. It cannot tastes bad! It only took me around 15 minutes the other day. And the steps aren’t difficult at all. Let me know if you try the recipe okay.

ingredients: (makes 1 palm-sized mason jar)
1 1/2 c oats (I used 192 g blue Quacker oats)
1 tb chia seeds
1 big dollop chunky peanut butter (yums)
1 cut banana (I had Dole banana)
1 small packet maple syrup (go crazy)
1 c milk
1 handful chocolate chips (never claimed that it’s going to be healthy)

Put the oats into a container. Maybe fill up the oats until half the jar (?) because the ingredients will rise overnight. The measurements really depends on your container size. Yes. I’m just winging the instructions right now hahaha.
.

.
Put in the chia seeds. And peanut butter.
.
Add in the maple syrup as well. You can drizzle it to make it pretty but you’re going to mix the ingredients up later on anyways.
.
Add in the chocolate chips.
.
Pour the milk into the container but leave some space for the banana. Mix the ingredients with a spoon.
.
Arrange the banana nicely on top of the mixture. You can decorate the oats as you like if you’re feeling extra. Close the lid and leave the oats overnight (or at least 3 hours if you’re impatient 😂). And eat that oats without guilt!
