running around bukit bintang | part one

.

It’s (more or less) a week after exam and I was ready to come out from being a social hermit. My Miri placement application was approved so, I wanted to drop by uni to settle up some stuff. And since result day (yikes!) would be on Wednesday, I decided to stay in KL for the week.

.

I texted my (very loyal 😛) brunch partner, Farah, asking if she’s in KL. I would text Sabrina too, but she’s out of the country (so annoying). Usually we’d brunch around Bangsar – Mont Kiara – Damansara, but I wanted to try Tiger Sugar for this silly boba review I’m doing on Instagram story. So we figured we’d try out VCR in Bukit Bintang.

Farah picked me up around 11am. VCR is just right next the Swiss-Garden Hotel Bukit Bintang so, you can park there if you’re driving. We chose to sit upstairs and outside (this was my idea because I need good lighting for the pictures okay). At this point Farah’s already looked conflicted thinking about the humidity hahaha!

.

I tried the soft shell crab and latte and Farah ordered french toast and tea. Mine was good, I really liked the buttered buns. Farah’s not very happy with her meal tho. A little backstory: She likes meat. There’s no meat or egg on the plate. At one point she even exclaimed, “This is VEGAN!” 😂

.

.

We talked about school, exam, upcoming orientation, and Miri placement. Then took a couple of pictures before we left for Tiger Sugar. Okay, in between VCR and the parking in Swiss-Garden, there’s this snack stall selling all kinds of deep fried goodness. Farah zoomed out of VCR to the stall to buy nuggets. 😂 Look at how happy she was with the nuggets. #takbolehbawamajlissis

Haha soo cute! The post is too long, as always. I’ll break it down into two parts. Anyways, both of us had come to an agreement that we cannot do vegan and our taste buds are of 5-year-olds hehe. Okayyss I’ll see you in the post tomorrow! ❤️
