I’m currently hiding from the rain, moving from one cup of tea to the next. I thought I would cheer myself up by writing a few things I am happy about this month.
.
A trip to Singapore// Having just got back from the Universal Studios Singapore a few weeks ago, I am still on holiday mode! It was my first holiday trip that I agreed to since my anxiety and depressive symptoms escalated. I absolutely loved walking around the place, snapping pictures away and stocking up treats wherever we went. It’s already got me thinking about our next trip! I still have all my photos to sort through which makes me extremely happy this month.
.
Harry Potter in concert// It’s been a while since I get to spend some quality time with my nieces. I prepared everything from what I’m going to wear to what props I’m going to bring months earlier. Hahaha talk about being eager! But seriously, the concert was supposed to be held on my birthday on the 16th of July, unfortunately due to some mishaps the concert was postponed to November. The anticipation was out of this world! Nevertheless, we enjoyed our time at the concert. And it doesn’t hurt that we won the lucky draw trip to Universal Studios Japan too. 😜
.
A few more beauty and fashion updates// I had to save a lot of money this month since I was away to Singapore, but I managed to sneak in a few new purchases from Sephora, Zalora, and FashionValet. I’m super pumped to update my wardrobe because it motivates me to go to the gym to exercise haha! Well I’m determined to work back on my fitness regime this December, hopefully we’ll see some improvement. *fingers crossed*

Umbrella of Darkness// It was a good talk explaining how Islam views mental health. To be honest, I was a bit sceptical and scared because if the talk was about how mental health is a “punishment” I’d really feel like I wasted my time and money attending the event. However, Yasmin Mogahed surprised me when she acknowledged the existence of mental health as a medical issue. She reminded us all of the how great the mercy of Allah is and how Allah only has our best interest in mind. Click here to read what I learnt from the talk.

Working on nadirahim.com// I’ve been able to dedicate more time to my blog this month and it’s lovely to see the results coming from it. For some reason, it felt weird to promote my content. I still haven’t had the courage to promote my blog because I don’t know if people enjoy reading my posts, to be honest. I might bore people to death with my writings for all I know! Hahaha. Oh well, as long as I enjoy doing this, am I right? 😊
